Roxanne3 Stars Out Of 5DisappointedApril 3, 2012RoxanneQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1The Zondervan's Pictoral Bible Dictionary has a nice outer cover with a good feel in the hand. But when I opened it I was so disappointed. Every picture and every map is black and white. There is absolutely not one bit of color in the entire book.
I could have accepted this is they were good quality, but they are not. Thay all look like they were copied on a very poor copying machine.
The font size is also on the small size. I would suggest spending a little more money for a better Bible Dictionary.

Cecil Anderson5 Stars Out Of 5August 12, 2010Cecil AndersonMy wife and I were fortunate to find a "first print" copy of this book in a vintage book store some years ago. We have used it to increase our Bible knowledge and to share with others during ministry. A friend recently asked for a good source for Bible history. Knowing this dictionary to be one of the best resources around, we searched online to find another copy in an out-of-print bookstore. To our delight CBD carries reprinted versions and we ordered a copy for our friend. There is a slight size difference and an updated cover, but the content is the same. Definitely a great book for "Bible-scholars-to-be."
