Just Commonly4 Stars Out Of 5Redemption story at its best!December 8, 2016Just CommonlyQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0O yes. Do you have a worm that's chewing inside of you? Is it bitterness or is it self-doubt? Is it jealousy or something you're not even sure of? Yuletide Redemption by Jill Kemerer deals with loss and the bitterness in life and towards God. And boy, was it a kicker! I almost wanted to jump in there and smack a certain character. I want to knock some sense into said character. Though I understand his/her plight and reason for such bitterness, but you can truly see how bitterness can "rot your bones." Not only such, it can drive away the good things in your life, and hurt those that love you.
Back to the book. Being the 4th book in the series, it really doesn't matter, because you won't get lost at all. This book focuses on our main characters, though other characters from the series does make appearances throughout. I really enjoyed how the author penned Celeste's story, her struggle as a sudden single parent, and the survivor's guilt that continues to torment her. O, did I say too much? For a story of this length, the level of life and internal struggles these characters face - heartwrenching is to say the least.
"Sometimes God's ways doesn't fit into our expectations..." (140)

It is a relatable book on many levels. Author Jill Kemerer tackles life's tough, unfair struggles. You know, the issues we all don't want to deal with or face. Yet there is hope & redemption weaved throughout. Follow Celeste and Sam as they each work out their own issues. Will they each surrender or hold on to the past hurts?
I personally loved most of the dialog in Yuletide Redemption. The characters were believable and the author used the right amount of drama for each character yet weaved the characters separate issues together beautifully.
Grab your hot chocolate and a blanket and curl up with Yuletide Redemption soon!
