Mandy4 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful, sweet and reassuring...July 1, 2022MandyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a sweet book that instills confidence and value in a child, told from a loved ones point of view. These are words every child needs to hear and believe. As an adoptive parent, I could not help but imagine a child in foster care or a newly adopted child hearing these words. What a wonderful gift of reassurance these words could be.
This is certainly a book that a parent, grandparent or caregiver should read to a child, out loud and often. It mentions the pride a reader feels for having the chance to call that child theirs and the opportunity to love them. Though a tad bit lengthy, it assures children that no matter how they act or what they do, they will always be loved, accepted and enough; that God created them for a purpose, to be who He has made them to be and that they are treasured by Him. That is such a powerful message to impact a young mind. I do wish this story had a bit less fluff and more depth as to WHY a child is always enough, with a deeper Biblical message but it is still sweet and we can use it as a jumping-off point to have that more meaningful conversation with our children.
I loved the sweet, darling illustrations with diversity and subtle tones. This book is just beautiful from its soft embossed cover and fun, relatable illustrations, to its easy to understand phrasing and the significance of the message of devotion from the reader to the listener. A must have for any childs library and a wonderful gift, especially for a foster family, adoptive family or child celebrating a baptism or salvation.

Rachel4 Stars Out Of 5God's love isn't based on our perfectionMay 25, 2022RachelMy children really enjoyed the illustrations in this book. Many of the illustrations show children doing imaginative things.
The book is written in rhyming text from the perspective of a parent or guardian. As a parent, I enjoyed reading to my children how my love for them is not based on them not making mistakes but their unique "specialness."
I like the idea of the book that God's love isn't based on how good we do things. I agree with that. I wish there was reference to the Bible, though, instead just statements that God sees this as wonderful.

Grandma CindyArizonaAge: Over 65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Wish this mentioned GodMay 21, 2024Grandma CindyArizonaAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4The illustrations are wonderful. The author gives specific things children can do when lonely. explaining how we all have these feelings. We can treat others with kindness, be part of a team, enjoy our pets, talk with a trusted grown-up, and read a book, all excellent suggestions. The book concludes with acknowledging the child's worth, but I wish the author had explained how God has made each child, and how Jesus is always with us. This I will add when reading to my grandchildren.

Michelle4 Stars Out Of 5Each of us is unique and lovedJune 15, 2022MichelleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4My daughter (11 years old) has struggled with feeling like she's not enough and not good enough at anything. I was provided this book to review and thought it was the perfect one to do due to my daughter's struggles.
The illustrations draw you in as they are realistic to things a child would do and inviting. The theme of the story is that you do not need to be perfect but you are loved for the unique ways that God created you. It reminds children that life is not always the way they want it to be, but that God can use them and their situation to make them a better person. It was a good way for my daughter and me to connect and remind her and myself that life is not perfect and neither are we, but God uses each of us for His glory.
