Millions of readers have experienced spiritual breakthroughs with the help of Neil Anderson's classic book Victory Over the Darkness. Now, in his new eight-study "Victory Series," he helps readers recognize that truth alone will not set them free. Truth must be acknowledged, experienced, and intellectually discussed in order for it to take root. Students of this study will discover who God is and who they are in Him.
Your Foundation in Christ is the third study in a series of eight "Victory in Christ" studies that show the believer how to grow in Christ by knowing and applying the truth about God. This six-session study also focuses on the Holy Spirit and His ministry in the life of the believer, and shows Christians how to relate to one another with acceptance, affirmation and a forgiving heart.
The study includes a small group leader's guide, along with illustrations, questions for deeper reflection and practical applications.

We all have faith in something. No doubt, the voices we listen to and follow will determine whether we live in freedom--or in bondage. Is your faith rooted in enduring truth? Or in the world's ever-changing messages? And how can you recognize one from the other?
In Your Foundation in Christ, Dr. Neil Anderson shows us how intricately intertwined we are with the God who created us, and how only His truth can set us free. In this third of eight Victory Series studies, you will discover what it means to live with Christ as your sure foundation, see your faith grow, gain power to live by His Spirit, and ultimately learn to overcome fear and live boldly for Him. This study, with six sessions, can be used individually or in a group, and includes a leader's guide, along with illustrations and questions for deeper reflection and practical applications.
Now is the time to deepen the roots of your faith, know more intimately the One who is truth alone--and courageously live out what you believe.
nabagailSeattleGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Your Foundation in Christ by Dr. Neil AndersonOctober 21, 2014nabagailSeattleGender: femaleNeil Anderson's book "Your Foundation in Christ" is the third in his Victory Study Series. Whether you are new to the Christian faith or have been a long time believer this study is foundational. It is clearly written and provides an understanding of our roots and life in Christ.
His definition of absolute truth is especially appreciated and most particularly because in today's Western Culture truth is often considered as different for everyone. Anderson states that "Truth is how things really are as seen from God's perspective" and that "truth is rooted in the absolute nature of God."
The study goes on to address The Nature of Faith, Living Boldly, Godly Relationships, Freedom of Forgiveness and living by the Spirit. Each section provides study questions to reinforce your learning. I would certainly recommend this series if asked.

The book contains six chapters (or sessions at is says above) and each chapter then contains several mini-chapters.
Each mini-chapter is short (we're talking two pages tops) followed by a series of questions. I was frustrated that some of the questions didn't really matching up to what you just read.
The chapters were OK to read, but at times it didn't seem to flow well.
Though there were a few times I had those deep thought moments, over all I found myself just skimming the book and not really walking away inspired or refreshed.
Honestly, I didn't even finish the book, I found it boring, I got half way and then skimmed the rest.
I haven't read the other book in this series (this is the third installment), but I don't think that has anything to do with my 'meh' feeling towards this book.
I received this book through Baker Publishing group from Bethany House in exchange for my honest review.
