The Young Peacemaker Set includes a 200 page Teacher Manual designed in a workbook format with appendices that can be photocopied for child or student use. Divided into three sections: Understanding, Responding and Preventing Conflict, each lesson has a goal, objectives, principle, and needs clearly outlined at the beginning, and is followed by teacher's notes on setting the stage and questions to ask. Reproducible student activity sheets for all twelve lessons are provided on an enclosed CD for ease of duplication. Help illustrate the conflicts and talk about possible solutions--good and bad--and what's wrong with the "bad" solutions. A lesson summary reaffirms the lesson's main points.
Teacher book is 199 pages, softcover.
1 CD-ROM has the Student Activity Books in PDF format. Recommended for grades 3-7, but can be adapted for younger or older students.

Drine5 Stars Out Of 5Great book for teaching character and conflict resolutionNovember 2, 2016DrineQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I taught this book to junior high classes several years. The information is clear, easy to understand and presented in such a way that the students are interested in studying it. I highly recommend this book. The activity books are nice and the students enjoyed them, but I taught this course without them for several years. The main book is rich with information. The activity books are enjoyable for students, but not absolutely necessary if budget is tight.

It has been very effective. Each Monday morning we cover a lesson and then it can be used all week as they address different issues that students face. We are a small Christian school. It is great to have materials like this to address conflicts. As all of us know, just because we are Christians doesn't mean we don't have relationship issues.

what is the difference between the set of 12 young peace maker
comic books and this young peace maker book. Is there more teacher help.
Would there be a benefit to buying both? I am teaching a small class of
12 students at a home school co-op. Or is the same information in the
comic books? Thank you
This kit is comprised of the Teacher's Manual (WW78610) and a CD-ROM
with the 12 student booklets in a printable format.
If you prefer not to print from the CD-ROM you can purchase the
pre-printed workbooks as CBD stock number WW78628. You would need to
order one set for each student.
