5 months ago my 7-month-old baby girl was diagnosed with brain cancer. Outwardly, I've managed to keep everything under control, but inside I've been falling apart. I got this book hoping that it could shed some light on my pain, and even my anger. Max Lucado has done all that and more. I only have time to read a chapter here and there, but I always feel better after I do.

A must read for everyone because everyone goes through something at some time or other. Easy to understand and relate to. My women's ministry group is reading this book and we are really gleaning from it and enjoying it.

Our adult study group were so excited about this study. We all realized that looking at life in segments often brings pain, doubt & depression. Looking back helped each one see that all the troubles, trials, and temptations worked for good as we looked to Christ and allowed Him to counsel, instruct and teach. As Max pointed out; it won't always be painless or quick but God's sovereignty shone through. Using the story of Joseph gave each person a new understanding & appreciation of God's Word which is really what we study for!
