Adriana Teles3 Stars Out Of 5range problems and verse missingMarch 30, 2011Adriana TelesQuality: 4Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2I love this song and I've searched for an appropriate range for accomp. music. I agree with the other review about the range but it seems that the original was written this way in the Eb range. The problem I see is that a woman may have trouble finding the right range for her voice with this song. Josh Groban can go up and down those 2 octaves with no problem. I don't have his voice, even though I do have a low voice for a woman, so I find it somewhat difficult to have that resonance across the lower part of the scale and risk not being heard because it's so low. I think (Praise Hymn) should make 2 versions with a man's range and a woman's voice range. I only downloaded the high voice, the other ones are too low for me. The other dissappointment is that I can't seem to find this version with 2 verses, only the Selah version has them. So I'm at a loss here. It should say in the details of the product if it's differrent than the original, at least, so you know what to expect. The chorus repeats too many times.
Deborah Gallardo4 Stars Out Of 5July 13, 2010Deborah GallardoI love this song, but the one thing I do not like about the product is the choice of keys for low, medium and high voices. Since the song modulates twice, this causes a range problem if the choice of key isn't suitable. I ended up having to use the high key arrangement and then editing it up 1 whole step. Then I had to sing the first section an octave lower than written.I'm sure this setting of low/med/high isn't an exact science and sometimes they don't always hit the mark. This was one of those times for me.I have no idea if anyone else had a similar range problem. It surprised me, however, when none of the three arrangements suited my vocal range. There's another component to range, other how high and low the notes go over the course of a song. That is if most of the song is in the "sweet spot" of a singer's voice. With 2 key modulations, that was impossible to deliver on in this arrangement. Too bad. I LOVE this song!
