One of the items I like to have on trips is a devotional book. I read "The One Year Mini For Leaders" and found it to be a very good devotional. Each devotion starts with Scripture, then provides practical application of the text, and ends with a key point to remember.
Whether one is in a position of leadership at church, work, or in the home, you will find one or more of the devotions that will provide you with insight and encouragement.

Tell us a little about yourself. After 30 years of working for other people in large and small organizations, I launched a private consulting practice in 2001 and have enjoyed working with leaders in many different industries, helping them find new ways to do things.
What was your motivation behind this project? I believe God is intensely interested in EVERY aspect of our lives, including our professional lives. I wrote the OYML to help leaders see that God wove examples of good leadership into every page of his book - The Bible.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope readers will find something new in the pages; a new way to treat employees; a new way to think about pricing; a new hope for the future. I want folks to be encouraged that God loves them enough to provide examples of how to lead in his book.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I read the entire Bible, page-by-page in the space of 5 months. You can not come away from that unaffected.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Reggie McNeal, Seth Godin, Daniel Pink. The Apostle Paul is a phenomenal writer. The book is dedicated to my Dad, who lives his life as a guy whose reach exceeds his grasp.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I am convinced that all truth is God's truth. Look for truth wherever you can find it. Don't discount truth because you find it in typically non-Christian sources.
