Loraine5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful bite sized historical romanceDecember 16, 2020LoraineThis review was written for A Wreath of Snow, Large Print.This is a bite size piece of romance filled with hurt, healing, and sweetness. I do not read many novellas because I find many of them too short for my liking. However, I was really drawn into the depth of pain and hope for healing that wove its way around Meg and Gordon.

Lorin2 Stars Out Of 5Clumsy and ClichedDecember 19, 2018LorinI like simple, heart warming stories, but this story was short on romance and long on cliches. As L M Montgomery, D E Stevenson, and others have amply shown, it's possible to write touching stories about everyday occurrences. Cramming in a multitude of poor promises, predictable plot twists, guilty consciouses, and half truths was entirely unnecessary. Instead of taking time to flesh out the characters, this story rushes from plot point to plot point. The result is a story that feels hurried and ill considered.

What a grand idea. Ms. Higgs really knows how to bring you back in time and truly make you feel like you're there when you hear a phone go off while reading - for a second you'd be discombobulated - I was - to funny - you will be transformed and transfixed and be glad you did.
