In Wounded in the Church, Ray Beeson and Chris Howard combine their years of ministry experience to address head-on a commonly ignored or bypassed, though prevalent and devastating issue reality within the church—church members and church leaders who hurt their fellow Christians. The long-lasting effects left by such hurts and losses— rejection, shame, despair, loneliness, fear, or more— can be devastating and, so often, contribute to the rising number of "dones," those who are just done with God due to the scars left from the church.
Offering first-person accounts, Beeson and Howard provide a wake-up call for anyone who denies woundedness within the church, as well as a message of redemption for those who have been hurt from church wounds. Leaders and laypeople alike will learn how to grieve abuse, to leave unhealthy attitudes and patters that cause pain, and ultimately, to trust in God's real, delivering work through churches that build up rather than tear down.

Though I purchased the book, I count it as a gift of God, no kidding. It is full of truth and and full of grace. Every pastor and church person should give it a read. I could write more, but if you are like me, you like it short and to the point. The point is, get it, read it, share it.
