Tell us a little about yourself. Acquiring a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury at the age of 41, my professional and personal life was thrust into chaos--midstream. Grasping tightly to God's hand empowered me to walk safely through the valleys, to a place of spiritual fulfillment and contentment, despite my permanent disability.
What was your motivation behind this project? God kept nudging me to reach out to others who are experiencing adversity. Psalm 139 has always been my favourite chapter in the Bible. It became much more meaningful when I embraced the truth that God has a specific purpose for my life---even though there was a switch in the track from my perspective, I was/am right on course according to His perfect plan. Life has become an adventure!
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Hope, encouragement, healthy self-esteem and the realization of their worth in God's eyes. Each person is so precious to Him.Place your trust in Him, then hang on! You may even find the journey exciting!
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Positive feedback from my book has been astounding: persons with brain injuries, strokes, aneurisms, personal struggles and heartache have been encouraged and uplifted. Many are learning to not just survive in life, but to thrive as they trust God to lead them each and every day.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: God sees us much differently than we see ourselves. Embracing this profound truth enables us to look beyong the reflection in the mirror, to the Light of the One Who reassures us that we are indeed, worthy in HIS eyes.
