I got this and, honestly, was a bit skeptical. I flipped through the first few pages, saw a few interesting tidbits, and got it. ... I was blown away.

If you're a pastor or a worship leader, don't take the stage/pulpit/platform until you read this. If you're sitting out in the crowd you need to read it too. If you like to argue about worship styles (or argue whether you like it or not) read this book.

This book takes a full-Bible, Kingdom-view approach to looking at worship. It successfully ties together OT worship with NT worship and Christ, with a bit of church history on worship thrown in. And while Mr. Neese clearly comes from a particular worship style, he makes sure to mention that no matter how *your* church worships you can still implement the lessons taught here. Also, and probably most important, this book is chock-full of Scripture.

In an era where many Believers are concerned about the future of their church, The Church, and our society, many pray for a revival. The only revival we really need is one in each of our own hearts. A revival for ourselves. It starts with true worship. And Zach Neese has done a good job articulating that point.
