Before Joel Manby won the respect of America with his appearance on the CBS reality TV series Undercover Boss, he was a highly successful corporate executive. After the show aired, many of the 18 million viewers wrote to him about the profound impact of his servant leadership. How does a person achieve that level of success without arrogance or pride? In Love Works, Joel Manby introduces us to the power of Christlike love in the workplace. After years of leading thousands of men and women, Manby has proven that leading with love is effective, even in a business environment. Manby challenges leaders to allow integrity and faith to guide leadership decisions, outlining seven time-proven principles that break down the natural walls within corporate cultures, empowering managers and employees, disarming difficulties, and cultivating an atmosphere that builds long-term success. Manby also leverages the undeniable truth that love builds healthy relationships at homewhy not use the same behavior to build healthy relationships at work?
Joel Manby is proof that leading with love works. He has refined this leadership philosophy for more than a quarter-centuryfirst as a highly successful corporate executive at Saturn, then as Saab North Americas CEO, and following that as president and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment (HFE). At HFE, the largest family owned theme park corporation in the U.S., Manby and his team have proven you can get financial results and lead with love, generating a 14% annual return to shareholders while also helping thousands of employees in financial need via the companys Share It Forward Foundation. Manby is currently the CEO of SeaWorld Entertainment and striving to bring the Love Works principles to life there as well.

Is it the boss or the workers? Is it how they work together or how well they stay away from each other? This book shows how the author, Joel Manby, uses certain Biblical principles to run his corporation and keep it successful.
I found the ideas in this book interesting and found the authors' approach to leadership a much-needed approach in today's business atmosphere. The book itself is very easy to understand and follow. This is a great book for anyone in a leadership position to read. Just by the writing style you can see that the author has a kind heart and enjoys sharing with others ways to better their companies.
I gave this book 5/5 stars for numerous reasons. The main reason I gave this book a high rating was because it had such great ideas to improve the workplace. I think everyone can learn something from this book!
