I truly enjoyed reading The Works of His Hands. I appreciated learning about the author's journey from a militant atheist to a follower of Jesus through his study of science, particularly biochemistry. I found his thoughts on his faith journey insightful and recommend this book for science minded people interested in the intersection of faith and science. The book is divided into two sections, Part 1: Getting There, and Part 2: Issues and Questions.

In Part 1, Sy shares his life's story as he grew up in an atheist, communist family and developed a love for science. He details his journey in studying science from the irrational world of quantum physics to the grandeur of evolution. He talks about some of the surprises, wonder, and limits he experienced in his study and career. He also discusses how his background in science opened his mind and heart to the possibility of God's existence.

In Part 2, Sy discusses some of the common questions and concerns some Christians have about science and Christianity and how he sees faith and science fitting together.

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in either science or faith discussions, especially for those approaching the topics who have a scientific background and are wondering if modern science and Christianity can be reconciled.
