My children have used the original Wordly Wise series for years. This year we are using the Wordly Wise 3000 series, and I am surprised and disappointed to see how many left-wing references are in here. I won't be using Wordly Wise 3000 again. The review labeled "Beware HEAVY left wing bias in readings" has referenced the same problems we have found.

While the system is solid enough, the vast majority of readings are intended to push a progressive "woke" worldview: Trail of Tears... Evil Conquistadors... Exploited migrant workers... Workhouse fires in early industrial era America... Woman umpire discriminated against by the patriarchal baseball system... If something bad happened in America, there's a class-warfare take on it masquerading as vocabulary in action. It's almost comical self-parody. We're either returning it or keeping it as a teachable moment on how to detect propaganda.
