danniAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5greatDecember 22, 2021danniAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoy most devotionals and believe they can add a great deal of spiritual growth to one's daily life. This one is no exception.
The devotional includes ninety days worth of insights. The themes for each day vary greatly based on a few of the titles below:
- Shine
- Comfort
- Bless
- Hope
- Dead
- Creation
Each day follows the same format:
- Scripture Reference
- Insights: the days insights on the specific scripture
- Reflect: question to get you to reflect on how the scripture applies to you
- Pray: example prayer
- Declare: statement to embrace that relates to the scripture reference
- Act: action to take to apply and implement the scripture
There are no specific authors noted for the devotional or the daily readings so it could easily be a collection of multiple people.
The conclusion provides additional resources for the reader to look into if they prefer further study on any of the topics.
The devotional itself is a pocket size book and is a very easy, quick read. Each daily reading is only two pages at max.
I enjoyed the simplicity of the readings yet included challenging and convicting ideas to reflect on each day.
I received a copy of this book from Baker Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review.

This book gives one word as the heading, then there is a verse to think upon. The short reading is easy to fit into any busy day and it filled my heart with God's love.
Along with each of these there is a question, a prayer and a step for action.
I could see this as an individual, family or small group devotion. It could open the door for sharing thoughts.
I loved this devotional and would recommend it to everyone.

Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Stay Focused Through the DayFebruary 24, 2022Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you are looking for a devotional that will get right to the point and help you have a key word or idea to focus on for your day, this devotional is a great choice. It gives 90 days of deliberate, yet quick to read, devotions that are specific to a key word. I liked how it helped me to keep that idea fresh in my mind as I went through the day.
For each devotion, a key word is given at the top of the page, followed by a verse that incorporates the word. Then the short devotional expounds on what that word means and helps the reader think of ways to apply that word to their life. After that, there are bullet points that help the reader REFLECT, PRAY, DECLARE, and ACT.
I really appreciate how focused each devotion is. It helps me remember and apply that word as I go through my day.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. -
thechristianscribeArizonaAge: 25-34Gender: Female3 Stars Out Of 5It's okayDecember 28, 2021thechristianscribeArizonaAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1This little devotional focuses on a daily word covering a variety of topics like; goodness, faith, comfort, hope, seek, fire, trust, affections, and more. Each day contains a verse, a 1-page message, a reflection question, a prayer, a declaration, and an act section. The devotions are short and use several Bible translations (NIV, NKJV, ESV, NLT, TPT). The book is small (about a handbreadth) and has a gray ribbon marker.
If you like "meaty" devotionals like me, skip this one. The messages are simple and to the point but they don't do much for me. I'm not a fan of "declarations" or action prompts so those sections are not really helpful. This devotional is probably best for baby Christians who still need milk, not seasoned Christians who need meat.
