She is learning so much about these women in the bible. We enjoy doing the mother-daughter discussion questions at the end of each chapter. It has given us both a greater in-depth understanding of these women and a closer relationship between us.

My 12-year-old daughter is working her way through the study, so it does work for more mature, but younger girls. Thought-provoking questions help young girls really think through what they're reading and make application to their own lives. My daughter works independently for the most part, checks her own answers against the answer key, and we discuss the Mom/Daughter material.

Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a writer and the mom of four homeschooled-from-birth young adults.
What was your motivation behind this project? When my daughter turned 13, I decided to write a Bible study for us to use together. I had been in a wonderful Bible study class for many years and wanted to share some of the knowledge I'd gained in a way that gave us the opportunity to make memories together. I included the "discussion starters" so that I could apply the lessons to events I had experienced in my own life and share them with my daughter. She loved the discussions that developed from our use of this Bible study.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that it will bring mothers and daughters closer while learning, through the stories of women in the Old Testament, how much God loves women and what He teaches them through the life-changing events women experience, including birth, marriage, infertility, and widowhood. As mothers share their experiences and knowledge with their daughters, I hope both generations will enjoy the special times they're experiencing together.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As a homeschool mom, I found it very freeing to design a curriculum that combines the discipline of the study questions with the personalization aspect of the discussion starters.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? This particular book was inspired by the many things I learned about women of the Old Testament from my Bible study leader, but everything I've written has been inspired by God.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I want to encourage homeschooling parents to spend time just talking with their children and sharing true stories of their lives and those of their friends and family members. Kids soak up these stories and they learn so much from them.
