Charis R Hart5 Stars Out Of 5June 11, 2008Charis R HartThis is great devotional reading for women who are bruised and in need of healing; chock full of life breathing scripture together with Dawn's loving uplifting and bracing encouragementI have a confession to make: I misjudged this book! Upon first receiving my book order, I skimmed just a bit and quickly tossed it aside. Why? Well, Dawn Wilson is a Pastor and she is talking about "equipping women for ministry" so I assumed that Dawn is aiming to recruit women pastors. Having a strong personal aversion to the thought of myself in any such position, I figured "this book has nothing for me". Then, when I was asked to renovate the "Healing Ministry" area of the website, I recalled some of Dawn's testimony which I had read here and there in some online venues. So, I picked up her book again and realized its priceless value. This is a book chock full of scripture and encouragement which I can revisit again and again for healing, edifying, life giving devotional reading.
Susan Walker5 Stars Out Of 5December 10, 2006Susan Walker"Women, Get in the Army of God" breaks the chains of religion and doctrine as you read and study what the Word of God says about women.I am thankful that Author Dawn Wilson heeded the prompting of the Lord and had the courage to write this book."Women, Get in the Army of God" imparts wisdom to the reader as it instructs how to walk daily in God's victorious power. Never have I read a more precise and scripturally sound word which teaches Christians who they are in Christ, their poisition in Christ, and the power and the authority they posses in Christ.I encourage every Christian to read this book. It will equip you to victoriously triumph over the enemy in the battles that lie ahead. It will equip you to stand firm against the wiles and schemes of the enemy. Cecilia Joseph5 Stars Out Of 5September 26, 2006Cecilia Joseph"Women, Get in the Army of God," is so much more than a book on spiritual warfare. Dawn unravels the foundational meaning of Christian character, and leads us to the stepping stones of personal victory in our walk with God. Though years of experience line the pages of this manual, Dawn reinforces each revealed truth with an in-depth analysis drawn from the original Greek and Hebrew translations of the Bible. Discover the truth of God's Word concerning women in the ministry. Settle once and for all every doubt of God's call to women. Learn how men and women's hearts alike are rekindled in resolve and purpose. I was strengthened from the sheer simplicity of truth recited from scripture. Notice how time after time, God uses "the power of one," to overcome insurmountable odds through trust in Him, transforming even the course of history. You will walk away with a sense that NOTHING is impossible with God. You will experience peace in the confident expectation that love truly does conquer all! We never walk alone in the battle, for we have been empowered to do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens us." Whether your core values dictate the concepts of God having an army of believers or the paradigm of God creating us for the sole purpose of being His family, you will be touched, moved, and inspired by the concepts laid forth in this book."

Tell us a little about yourself. Dawn has been actively serving and ministering in the body of Christ for over 28 years in many different aspects of Ministry. She has served in the body of Christ as a teacher in Womens Ministries, as a Womens Pastor, as an Adult Education Pastor, and as a Pastor at Mighty Warrior Church.
As Womens Pastor Dawn taught weekly Womens Bible Study and ministered the Word of God at Womens Conferences and Retreats.
As Adult Education Pastor Dawn developed course material and taught courses of study.
Dawn pastors Mighty Warrior Church with her husband Randy where she ministers the Word of God weekly. She has been described as a dynamic and powerful speaker who brings the Word of God to life with precision and clarity that is easily understood.
Dawn is ordained as a Pastor through It Is Written Ministries, A Holy Nation of Praise.
Dawn's motivation for ministry is to empower the body of Christ through teaching of Gods Word. As a Pastor and Teacher it is her great delight to motivate others into a deeper walk with Jesus.
Dawn lives in Athens, Alabama with her husband Randy and their seven children.
Randy and Dawn have been married for 28 years. They have served together in various aspects of ministry in their home and in church. They have served on staff in ministry and pastoral positions in church. They have taught Bible Studies and held a home church in their home. They now preach the Word of God at Mighty Warrior Church.
Dawn has home schooled her children for the past 18 years. Her four oldest children have graduated from their home school program. She continues to home school the youngest three of her children.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation to write Women, Get in the Army of God comes from my own struggle to take my God given position in the body of Christ as an Adult Education Pastor, as a Women's Pastor and as the Co Pastor of Mighty Warrior Church. This book is written in response to the many women who have asked, "How did you step into position?" and "How did you overcome the "doctrinal gag order" of women being silent in the church?" Women, Get in the Army of God is written to empower the women of God to actively fulfill their positions in the body of Christ. Women of God are encouraged to operate in their God given spiritual gifts and calls to the five fold ministry of evangelist, teacher, pastor, prophet and apostle. Psalm 68: 11 The Lord gives the command; the women who publish the tidings are a great host. I desire to not only be a part of this great host of women but to also enable all women of God to take their positions in this great host who proclaim His tidings.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? The battle cry is sounding! The wall separating women from the Lords service in the army of God is being brought down by author Dawn Wilson in her book Women, Get in the Army of God. Women, Get in the Army of God is sounding the reveille trumpet for all believers, but especially women, to "report for duty" in Gods army. There are divine orders and assignments for all of His children. This timely book, written by a former soldier herself, is a summons to "sisters" missing in action, to all believers who have deserted their posts, and to the wounded warriors who need healing and restoration. This book leads "new recruits" through the training of boot camp to the battlefields of spiritual warfare. This book also carries a message of restoration to the seasoned soldiers who may have failed in the past or have been taken prisoner through the wiles and schemes of the enemy. Women, Get in the Army of God, insightfully calls them to "re-enlist", to rejoin this great army of believers. It will take courage, determination, and unwavering trust in the heavenly Commander and Chief. Learn how to put on your full armor and take your position in Gods army there is victory ahead! Women, Get in the Army of God is written to all who desire to be effective warriors in God's army. Women, Get in the Army of God is written to women of God who hear Gods call to the five fold ministry but lack the scriptural certainty necessary to step into the call of God for their lives. Women, Get in the Army of God is written to all pastors and those in church leadership who desire to allow women to serve freely but lack the scriptural certainty to do so.

This IS NOT a feminist womens movement that is at odds with men. This is a God-ordained call to the women of God that He Himself proclaims in His Word. We, as women, are not going against God when we rise to these positions. We are not going against men when we rise to these positions. We are fulfilling His call to us. We are stepping into our rightful place and position in His army. This is a Holy Spirit movement that puts godly women in the army of God beside godly men. The purpose of this Holy Spirit movement is for men and women to work together to form the complete army of God. It is an army of men and women working alongside one another in order to accomplish the mission that God has given to us His church. The army of God is not complete in the earth today without His women. The mighty army of women that God has chosen to proclaim His tidings is missing from the army of God. Women, it is time for us to step into our God called positions in His army! Almost one hundred years ago Frederik Franson wrote a clear example of this: He said, "It is amazing how one can get such a false idea that not all of Gods children should use all their powers in all ways to save the lost world." Then he goes on to give a graphic example of what he saw happening in the earth. "There are, so to speak, many people in the water about to drown. A few men are trying to save them, and that is considered well and good. But look over there a few women have untied a boat also to be of help in the rescue, and immediately a few men cry out, "No, no, women must not help, rather let the people drown." How sad that this attitude still prevails. Better for people to go to hell and eternal damnation than to allow women their rightful places in the body of Christ!
