DT4 Stars Out Of 5September 25, 2007DTI bought this book mainly because I thought the cover was so beautiful. I didn't realize that it was a part of a series, so of course I hadn't read the first book. But that was okay, Kathleen Morgan included the necessary details to fill me in well enough. The book was good, though not something I would probably want to read again. And, actually, I liked Evan much better than I liked Devlin. . .
Maudeen Wachsmith5 Stars Out Of 5June 21, 2000Maudeen WachsmithKathleen Morgan has created characters so real readers will feel they actually know these people! The secondary characters add depth to the story and its wonderful seeing more of the hero and heroine of the first book in the series. The story is somewhat of a surprise as readers of DAUGHTER OF JOY will think that the hero/heroine of this second book would certainly be Evan and Hannah. So it is quite astonishing when its found that the relationship between Hannah and her nemesis, Devlin, is the focus of the story. In this manner, Morgan doesnt take the easy way out. Where it would have been easy for her to make Evan the hero of this book, the message of love, forgiveness, and redemption wouldnt have been there. And although more of a romance between Evan and Hannah would have made for a sweet story, thats all it would have been. But in Kathleen Morgans talented hands, this book is much more than just a sweet story. Its a powerful story as well. The metamorphosis of Devlin between bitter, resentful, unforgiving man and loving, tender human being is a joy to witness.Reminiscent of Francine Rivers REDEEMING LOVE, WOMAN OF GRACE is a compelling read that readers will find difficult to put down once started. Kathleen Morgan is a talented writer and this book is testament to that talent. This has been an outstanding series so far and readers will anxiously await LADY OF LIGHT in 2001 which will be Evans story.
