nkwbookreviewer5 Stars Out Of 5Best Seller by TD JakesAugust 16, 2016nkwbookreviewerQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Author T.D. Jakes penned "Woman Thou Art Loosed!" to help women. This 234 page paperback is an encouragement to all women but especially those that are struggling. Pastor Jakes writes his best selling book to assure women they are meaningful and worthy. God wants us to know He made us and loves us the way we are.
This women's issue, personal growth book is not an easy read. I found myself reading a bit, putting it down, and then coming back to it. It is not a light hearted book. The main point in it is that even though we have experienced bad things we cannot let them hold us captive. God wants to free us. We need to turn to Him.
Throughout this powerfully uplifting book, author Jakes has placed banners with key sentences or points to help readers hone in on them. Things like: "Faith comes when you recognize that you can't help yourself" and "If you want the enemy to release you, remind him whose daughter you are." There is scripture abundantly in this book. It is even on the back cover." Bible figures and stories are referenced. It is clearly and delightfully a Christian book.
I would definitely recommend this best selling book. Any woman bogged down by past bad decisions, trauma, and things that keep her from living life abundantly would benefit from this book. It is very well written. I rated it a 5 out of 5 stars. I received a copy of this book from The Book Club Network for my honest review.
Deana5 Stars Out Of 5Powerful Book On HealingApril 23, 2016DeanaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a great book to encourage you and start moving past pain. Some of us have gone through tremendous heartache and as we get older, those memories can hold us back. Be of good cheer though, because it is time to be set free from the bondage that the enemy has tried to deceive us with. I loved how the author tackles hard issues and shows you that we can overcome by the power of the Word. It is time to be free and stand tall women.
There are many chapters in the book that give you insight into the trauma of childhood, low self esteem and even hating yourself . I found myself crying for that little girl who was never able to be free. It is painful to think that no one loves you, and you walk around with shame . But we don't have to live like that anymore. The book is powerful, straight forward and so encouraging that I couldn't put it down. As you read the book, let the healing begin as you soak in the words of wisdom and freedom. "The triumphant woman locked inside shall come forth to where she belongs."

Penny M4 Stars Out Of 5See what God seesApril 13, 2016Penny MQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I didn't know what to expect when I chose to read and review this book. I am glad I did! Wow, if you are a woman I recommend reading this book, I know there are a lot of us out there who may think that we are not beautiful against today's standards. When all you see at the checkout line are size 2 women all glamorous and here we are in our sweats trying to take care of our families. Ya kinda get the feeling of low self esteem and some may go to hating themselves. This book shows you that God made us who we are and we are beautiful in every way!
This book has a powerful message that we as women need to hear. We are worthy of a wonderful life free from violence and guilt. We all have struggles but need to turn to God for help. T.D.Jakes has given these women in this book a voice.
This is a well written testimony for us to see ourselves as God sees us.
I recieved this book from The BookClub Network for an honest review.

Branford, CtAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I would recommend this as a MUST read for any woman that has been abused, neglected, or lives in the pain of her past. It will help to heal your soul and remind you of the love that God has for every woman! Although it does seem to be a bit repetitive, I think it's needed to drive the message home and to replant the seeds of truth.
