sgreene015 Stars Out Of 5Sweet LoveMarch 20, 2025sgreene01Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is book 3 of the Amish Calling series. It is always delightful to read more about those we have met in former books.
This book gives us Elijah Miller, another of the Miller boys who does not want to be a part of the family auction business. He is very shy and wants to do his own business of handcrafting wooden items.
We meet Bonnie who runs a craft store with her two friends, Sophia and Carol. All three have a physical disability but are able to run the store very efficiently. Bonnie dreams of having a husband and children, but is so afraid that no one will accept her with her spinal condition.
Elijah decides that he is going to try to sell his items on consignment at the store. His brother becomes ill and he has to travel with the family to auctions to help. He finds that his items are selling well when he returns home, so continues to make them.
They become attracted to each other, but will they be able to be together since Elijah still has to help his family and be gone for months at a time.
You will enjoy this book very much. I highly recommend it. Thanks to Netgalley and Zondervan for the advanced copy. The comments are my own.

arkmom5 Stars Out Of 5OvercomingFebruary 5, 2025arkmomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Bonnie Yoder is part owner and employee in the Homespun Handicrafts with her friends, Sophia and Carol. Each of the three young adult Amish women have a handicap. Bonnie, the main character, has SMA and has a rollator which is often mistaken for a walker. While Bonnie would dearly love to have what all Amish girls dream of, a husband and lots of children, she knows this is not the dream that will come true for her due to her physical disability. She can tell that she is becoming weaker and will soon be in a wheelchair. She will not be able to hold a baby, or run after a child. It would not be fair to a marry and man and not be able to be the kind of wife he would want and deserve. Bonnie occasionally gets accused of having pity parties for herself.
Then, there's Elijah who comes from a family of auctioneers and is expected to call auctions as well. However, Elijah cannot possibly see himself doing that. He is quiet and does not enjoy being the center of attention. His talent is wood crafting. Oh, the things he is able to create from wood! Small child size table and chairs, barns with animals, child size rocking chairs. But, his father is determined that he join the family business.
Elijah took some of his creations into Homespun Handicrafts and Bonnie is enthusiastic about selling them in the shop and draws up a contract with Elijah. Bonnie and Elijah have feelings for each other, but each have some large obstacles to overcome. I found their matchmaking mothers to be quite humorous.
This is a sweet story. The Amish see these physical disabilities within their community as something that makes the children 'special.' Would you if you had had one? Bonnie had a most difficult time seeing herself as 'special.' She yearned to be like others.
I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Zondervan, through Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review. -
MaryAnnORAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Powerful, Toucjhing TaleJanuary 31, 2025MaryAnnORAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have enjoyed this whole series, which includes a family of auctioneers and a trio of women with disabilities who run their own handcrafts store. It is a tale of loss and love and accepting oneself. It's also a story of overcoming. Kelly Irvin has a way of penning dramatic fiction that deeply touches the reader. This Amish novel definitely engages and draws readers into the lives and feelings of the realistic characters. I would like the series to continue. It feels like these people have become friends. I received a copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

DaliSB, INAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Deeply Touching StoryJanuary 28, 2025DaliSB, INAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This story is beautiful, touching, heartfelt, inspiring, and insightful. The author's description of the difficulties of dealing with illness and limited mobility is touching and sincere. This makes the characters that much more real, and I deeply feel everything about them: their challenges, their faith, their feelings, and so much more.
The author also does a fantastic job of describing the difficulties and challenges faced when one cannot fully pursue what one's heart desires and one's talents dictate, especially when family logistics play a part.
How those elements, along with faith, perseverance, and hope, played into Bonnie and Elijah's story is what makes With All Her Heart a beautiful and deeply touching story of love, faith, and God's will.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. All comments and opinions are voluntary and completely my own. -
