"I believe no Christian's life is "just normal," because each is a God-story waiting to be told in heaven someday. In the meantime, I thank God for With Two Hands! where I get a preview of one of those heavenly stories. Thank you, Rebecca Davis, for giving us and our children a glimpse of God's work through the life of Dick McLellan and the hidden heroes of the Ethiopian church."
"They sacrificed everything, sometimes their lives, that the unreached in Ethiopia's forgotten corners of the harvest field might know the love of the Lord. Read this book. Share these stories with your children. Pass it on to your friends. It will touch your heart and theirs, challenge the depth of your commitments, and energize your witness to the greatness of Lord Jesus."
"This is a very readable and an excellent introduction to mission for children. It is also a reminder to adults that we serve an amazing God, and maybe need a renewed vision for the gospel being saved where we are."
"I loved reading With Two Hands! My heart was touched by the wonderful stories of how God has worked and continues to work through His servants in Ethiopia."

Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a wife, mother, writer, teacher, editor, and professional storyteller. I love to write and tell true stories that bring glory to God.
What was your motivation behind this project? I want people to read the books in this series and say, "Wow! We serve a mighty God!" "With Two Hands" is the first book in the Hidden Heroes series, designed to do exactly that, about ordinary people just like us.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? With the Bible verses and discussion questions after each chapter, my desire is for families to read and discuss these stories together, at family devotions or around the supper table, so that parents and children can exclaim together over the mighty salvation of Jesus Christ.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? While working on this project, I myself was brought face to face, in tears, with the amazing work of God. I remember laboring over the last few pages of this book feverishly, furiously, while Mannheim Steamroller was blaring out "To save us all from Satan's power when we were gone astray! O tidings of comfort and joy!" It seems that I was almost sweating with the feverishness of my writing. I got to prayer meeting that night, threw my arms into the air and cried, "I finished a book!"
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My inspirations are the missionaries who go out to the foreign field and stick it out, through fire and flood, through scorching heat and intense cold, through hatred and scoffing and persecution, and continue giving the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to those around them. One of my very favorite books, at least one written on the same level I'm writing on, is "The Bronze Bow," by Elizabeth George Speare. A very powerful story about the powerful love of Jesus Christ.
