What if there was a real-life invitation to a lifetime of unexpected destinations and adventure? What if your faith was the key?
In her warm, conversational way, Proverbs 31 author Suzie Eller shows how your faith is just that. How when you take a step away from the uncertainty, the to-do list, the busy life, the worries and excuses, you take a step toward the One who promises to delight and surprise. Who brings you deeper than you ever thought possible.
Two thousand years ago, 12 men answered the call to follow a man they hardly knew--and they were changed in ways they never imagined. Today that same invitation echoes across history, beckoning you to an adventure that will spill into every aspect of your faith and life. Come with Me. Will you say yes?

Some of the questions readers are required to answer will make you squirm. Its okay; they are designed to do so. Topics that hit close to home, including hoarding possessions, are addressed in a way to demonstrate how they prevent us from getting closer to God and living fully in His plan for us.
Do we consider how God feels in our relationship? We are usually busy asking for favors or giving Him advice, so do we think about what brings Him joy? Are we doing what pleases Him? What does He long to hear from us or see us do?
Another topic that is especially timely is loving people who disagree with us, particularly those who do so in a disagreeable, annoying way. I say this is timely because considering the level of anger expressed by presidential candidates supporters, we may all be headed for Hell. Yes, it would be easier if the candidates were better qualified, honest, sincere people, but we do well to remember that God does not call the qualified; He qualifies those He calls, equipping them in unique and effective ways.
We are all called to be disciples and this book will reach deeply into our hearts to show us many ways to respond, as long as our answer is yes.
I was given a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. I strongly recommend it to everyone. Get a copy. Now.
Hannah5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful book!July 22, 2016HannahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4At first I was bit disappointed with this book as it started out pretty slow. After the first few chapters I was pleasantly surprised though as it was really, really good! Come with Me calls woman to answer Jesus' call of "follow me". Mrs. Eller goes through all 12 disciples and talks about big topics such as sacrifice, surrender, serving, and sharing. :) I would definitely recommend this book to any woman!

Angela SuzanneAge: 18-24Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Nice little bookJuly 3, 2016Angela SuzanneAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoyed this book and how Suzanne Eller used the twelve disciples as the focus and what we can learn from their lives. It gave more depth to them and showed that Jesus chose ordinary people to follow Him. I also liked that she used personal stories from her own life and those she knew to bring the lessons she learned through the disciples stories into this day and age. She was willing to share her struggles and hard times that she's been through. At the end of each chapter, there are thought-provoking questions to get you to think about what you read in the chapter and how it could apply to your life. Overall, it's a nice little book that takes you through the book of Luke and the disciples stories.
Halee4 Stars Out Of 5Slow, but comforting book!June 20, 2016HaleeQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This book was a slow start, but I did really like it! My heart kinda got hit with this writing though. I needed this book exactly when it came into my life! Suzanne has a way with words thats just personal and non-judgemental, just a friend to friend conversation.
One aspect of this that I really liked was that you followed the life of the 12 disciples, in a way I had never known them before.
This book also made God seem so much more real to me, and it also gave me the intense desire to study Scripture and meditate/memorize more habitually. I loved the layout of her writing too. She would transition back and forth with her own stories and the Bible, not just one of the other.
Honestly, while this book WAS really good, and made SUCH vaild points and I want tp apply these new principles to my life, I was just not drawn in AS QUICKLY as I thought I was going to. It was dragging, in my opinion, for the first few chapters or so.
I particularly LOVED the last few chapters, and I guess you could say the book finished with a bang and left you with quite a bit to think and pray about. I will be reading Suzanne Ellers other books in the future!
*I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Thank so much Bethany House!!!!
Jane4 Stars Out Of 5Come With MeJune 14, 2016JaneQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Come With Me: Discovering the beauty of following where He leads, by Suzanne Eller is a conversational style devotional. Told in a very personal way, Eller takes us through the Gospels as a thirteenth disciple, walking with Jesus as he calls the other twelve. Each chapter focuses on one of the disciples and a spiritual issue that Christ reveals to them. For example, when we walk with Simon the Zealot (What's a zealot anyway? She does answer that question.) the problem we face is loving those people we don't want to love. She concludes each chapter with questions to take you deeper into the Scriptures and into your own heart, and offers some practical ways to begin to practice what Jesus was preaching.
Sometimes it is easy to lose the basic truth that, as believers, we are that thirteenth disciple. I love this quote from chapter one:
Our encounters with Jesus as his disciple become less about the end destination and more about the invitation to trust him, wherever that leads, whatever he asks us to do. For Jesus meets us where we are with one plan in mind: to change us forever.
This book encourages us to walk with Christ unafraid to follow where he leads keeping in mind this crazy, faith-filled idea that:
Where we go is not nearly as important as who we go with.
I enjoyed this book, and found it challenged me to think of myself as a disciple walking the shores of Galilee with Christ. It has led me to re-read the gospels looking for ways to draw nearer to Christ. I liked that Eller gave practical suggestions for putting truth into action, sometimes it isn't always easy to know how to do what you know is right to do. I did end up using my own Bible along with the study out of preference for one version over others.
