At the onset of the twenty-first century we find ourselves, as American Christians, living in a land of unprecedented wealth and prosperity. We also have a Christian heritage that is unlike any other country that has ever existed. Our Founders were able to craft a nation that was based largely on biblical principles. The result has been an economic engine that has led the planet in feeding the world, defending the world from tyranny and bringing freedom to much of it. Not only that, we have been able to do so, especially in the second half of the twentieth century, with little economic sacrifice on the part of American citizens. This new century brings another challenge to American Christians. God has placed the stewardship of immense wealth in our keeping. We have the means to fulfill God's Great Commission and win the 21st century. Will we rise to the occasion?
