Two OLD WEST Romances
Against his father’s wishes, Adam Birchfield leaves his medical practice in Concord, Massachusetts for the Antelope Wyoming territory, in a search to find his older brother Nathaniel who had refused to fight in a war he hated. Adam is in love with Laurel Brown who has an identical twin sister, Ivy Ann. If God’s plan is for him to marry Laurel, he must figure out a way to make this happen.
Laurel and Adam Birchfield’s daughter, Desert Rose is now 17. Her cousin Nate persuades her to write an advertisement in search of a husband. Without her knowing, he mails it to a friend of his in Massachusetts. Michael is an instructor at an all boy school, who recently lost his parents. He blames God for the loss. After receiving the letter, he reluctantly begins correspondence with Rose. To his surprise, God has had a plan for him all along.

Betty Kirby5 Stars Out Of 5Wildflower Harvest/Desert RoseJune 16, 2017Betty KirbyQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Colleen L. Reece is one of my favorite authors. These two stories were written in 1994 and I can't believe I have just found the book. I have read several of her books and each one is very good. I love the way she weaves factual history into the plots of the stories. Would highly recommend her books to all.
Karen RWAGender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Two tender tales with romance and adventureNovember 16, 2016Karen RWAGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a tender tale of twin sisters who are coming of age in 1873 West Virginia. They are identical in appearance, but very different underneath. Their differences finally cause a rift that makes one do something drastic, affecting the whole family. A good picture of redemption, forgiveness and reconciliation in this story. A squeaky clean romance with faith elements. 3.5 stars
The second story is a fun one, set twenty years later in Wyoming, with a family connection to the first. The cousins have a good brother-sister relationship, leading to a dare and subsequent events that bring big changes in their lives. I really enjoyed this story of adventure, danger, and a gentle romance begun through letters. Building on the first story also made it feel more like a complete novel. Plenty of faith discussions put this firmly in the inspirational fiction genre. Very uplifting! Recommend!
(These stories were previously released in 1994 under the same titles.)

joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5GOD is the GOD of the HarvestNovember 16, 2016joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is about the pure love of sisters yet the envy as well. We have Ivy Ann who is rambunctious and flirtatious and gets whatever she wants, and then you have Laurel who is shy and sweet, tender, gentle and loving. Did I mention they were twins. Ivy Ann could feel Laurel was pulling away - you see Laurel did have a drifters soul - when Adam Birchfield hears her desire to go on an adventure - well you will not believe what happens -
Now - this book gives you as a treat and a great thank you - a second book inside so the second book is:
This is about Desert Rose on a dare by her cousin Nate puts an ad in a Mail order husband - she starts pen writing to his old boarding school - Carmichael Blake - who starts to fall in love - you will not believe what he does - I really mean that - you will not believe what he does next - you have got to get this book - it blows my mind - I wish someone would have done that for me - that is for sure - ahhhh true love. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
