Have you recently lost your husband? Are there days when you feel so terribly alone--and that no one else could possibly understand?
Author Gayle Roper understands. As a recent widow herself, Gayle writes:
So who am I now that there's only one place at the table...one pillow with a head dent, one damp towel after a shower. There's only one toothbrush in the holder. The seat is never left up anymore.
I can still write Mrs. in front of my name, but I'm no longer in a marriage relationship. You need two people for a marriage and there's only me.
Is there only you? Then join Gayle as she draws on her emotions during the loss of her beloved husband, Chuck, and offers you a compassionate devotional to encourage you through your darkest days. Gayle knows a widow's pain is deep. But she also knows God's love is deeper still. And it's in His love you'll find your deepest comfort.
Loss of a spouse.

I purchased this book and was not sure if it would be of any help to me whatsoever. I just have to say that the author helped me put words to my grief that I could not express or even find to name how I am feeling. Thank you so much for sharing your story so I can understand mine.

Cherj5 Stars Out Of 5Very helpful book for any widowJune 7, 2015CherjQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I found this book to be very helpful for me. My husband of 36 years passed away 14 months ago and recently I had found myself experiencing grief and struggles that I thought I would have been passed by now. Reading this book I discovered that what I was experiencing was not at all unusual or unique, and that in fact the author had experienced many of the same feelings. Her style of writing is easy to read, she shares several scripture references and is very honest in her feelings. Although I know my struggle is not over, I feel better knowing that I am not alone in my feelings and that in itself helped me greatly. I would highly recommend this book to all widows.
