Through these meditations on David's words in Psalm 51, readers discover there is mercy for every wrong and grace for every new beginning.

Whiter Than Snow unpacks this powerful little psalm in fifty-two meditations, reminding readers that there is mercy for every wrong and grace for every new beginning. Through these meditations on David's words in Psalm 51, readers will see their sin in light of their salvation, enabling them to replace condemnation with hope for change. For though David's story is one of moral failure, personal awareness, and grief, it is also one of confession, repentance, commitment, and hope. And because David's story is every believer's story, Psalm 51 is every believer's psalm. Whiter Than Snow reminds readers that we, as broken sinners, can be brutally honest with God and yet stand before him without fear. Designed for busy believers, Tripp's brief and engaging meditations are made practical by the reflection questions that conclude each chapter.

This is an in-depth study of Psalm 51, David's repentence over his adultery and sexual sin. There are 52 daily studies of various verses of Psalm 51, with two questions to consider and journal about each day. I will make this an annual part of my quiet time studies. Thank you Paul Tripp!

In a recent life low point, a careful and meditative read through "Whiter Than Snow" was more uplifting than I can express in a few words. But such a book, and such a psalm is not to be left for the low points in life only. I believe it would benefit each of us to review, at least yearly, our absolute helpless condition apart from the cleansing, forgiving love that God freely extents to a broken and repentant heart. Psalm 51 and "Whiter Than Snow" are perfect for such an exercise. If you think you're beyond God's ability to love you as deeply as the best person you may know - think again, and give yourself fully to the God of infinite grace.
