Product Description

Using the book of Job as his touchstone, Steve grapples honestly with the reality of pain in a fallen world. He asserts that when you are deeply distressed (what he calls the Broken Rope Syndrome), you can become either bitter or better. Though there are no easy answers, the Bible offers solid assurance that God hurts with his people, and someday he will end all suffering. You will receive new hope and courage as you, like Job, learn how your tragedies can be redemptive opportunities to experience "the great depths of God's unconditional love."

I like this book very much. Life is so painful in many ways, and our family is no exception. This book has helped me to understand the 'why's' I have had about so much pain. I like the title too. I had read the book a long time ago, and was glad to see it in the online catalogue. I wanted to read it again. Thank you.
