Mandy5 Stars Out Of 5When calls the heart: second chancesApril 22, 2015MandyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is another excellent movie in the series. These movies definitely keep you anxiously waiting for the next one in the series. Second chances shows that by the grace of God, people are given second chances and that we should learn from our mistakes and use these chances to enrich our lives and the lives of our family.
ButterflyMom4 Stars Out Of 5Excellent ride!December 23, 2014ButterflyMomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4And so the story drives on! This episode has several different character stories. The best and with my favorite character, is Abagail's story. Her tenacious strength facing Gowen is inspiring. She is truly a great lady. Always supportive and very real. Adams story of a man with a disability trying to fit back into his family and community, feeling less of a man, and Jack's quiet and subtle encouragement touched my heart.
This series is a good one to sit down with a family and watch. My 6 foot 4 inch manly husband who hates to cry, loves this series and watches each one with me even though I might see these shows as a chick flick.
Period romances are always my favorite and I have all of the DVDs in this series, I look forward to the
BelleGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Best episode yet!!!October 4, 2014BelleGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is definitely the best so far! It's so wonderful to see that the show is gettting better as it goes along, and I'm REALLY hoping it continues to. I believe it's one of the best series since Road to Avonlea, and it even has a similar quality! I really appreciate that Elizabeth's desire is to teach the children and enable them but not to control their every move...this especially shows how she encourages one of her students through a difficult learning disability. Very sweet, tender, and funny moments in this episode!
dianajack5 Stars Out Of 5Second ChancesOctober 3, 2014dianajackQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Love the series... the characters are wonderful and inspirational. What's happening between Elizabeth and Jack is growing into a lovely story. Also the sub stories are great addition to the series. Love the entire townsfolk and how everyone interacts with everyone else.
The producers have done a wonderful job with Oakes' books. They convey the spiritual aspect without too much effort.
Cindy NavarroCullman, ALAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Finding Hope Out of ChallengesAugust 25, 2014Cindy NavarroCullman, ALAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Once again this multi-talented team has produced a high quality film with a storyline that draws you in. Hope and moving on from the past and handicaps is key to this film. Jack and Elizabeth finally decide to pursue a courtship, Abigail moves on to a new level of independence in opening a restaurant, Adam Miller (the only miner to survive the explosion) returns and his family must adapt to his diability, and Elizabeth works to help a student overcome a reading disability.
Watching as each character overcomes fears and failures and works hard to attain goals is inspirational and, not only teaches a lesson to the viewer, but entertains as well. A wonderful balance is struck between the drama and the humor and makes for a wonderful film suitable for the entire family.
I received this DVD compliments of Word Films and Edify Media for my honest review. I was not required to write a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
