Valora RazielCaliforniaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful!December 10, 2013Valora RazielCaliforniaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Ours came with a photo copy of the Hebrew scripture, but no instructions or hanging prayer was included with it. (Instructions on how to hang it, along with the prayer to say when hanging it, was included in the olive sprig mezuzah.) This is a perfect match to the olive sprig mezuzah! This one, has the golden wheat, and a shin that is also in a darker color of gold. The shin mark is exactly the same as the olive sprig mezuzah. The other side decorations, look to be some kind of flowering buds, but with less red in it than the olive sprig one, and more golden in color, with just a speck or two of the red. The back is unglazed ceramic. the inside is glazed, and is carved out somewhat, so the scroll can stay in place more easily while trying to hang it up. But there is no actual back to the mezuzah. The sides are glazed. It is not quite a half inch thick. The background color is white, and blends in with our off-white paint. We are placing one of ours in the chicken coop (underneath our deck,) and another one in our kitchen. The Lord has told our family to at least get one mezuzah per room. (We can not yet afford to get one for every doorway.) This will be easier for us come Passover time, when we go around to bless each room with olive oil and kosher grape juice. (The oil is a reminder of the Holy Spirit indwelling, and the wine is a reminder of Christ's death for us, and the forgiveness of our sins.) Now I can place the blessing upon the mezuzah and be done with it, instead of placing it on the walls of the room itself. (Much cleaner!)
The packaging is a cheap plastic box/envelope, so if this is to be a gift, you might want to put it into a nicer box.

This one is to go onto a doorway leading into the kitchen. The only problem is that we didn't receive the scroll which was to be included. I purchased another one of these as well, and it also did not come with the scroll, but these were on backorder, so I presume they wanted to get these to me since we had waited quite some time. I knew this of course when I made the purchase, but these were the ones the wife wanted!
