lovesick father chapter was my favorite. identified that the church is no longer known for grace but more so on their stance on political issues such as homosexuality and abortion rights. noting Jesus was hardly involved in politics and known for being a friend of sinners. unfortunately the church has a reputation of being unkind to certain populations. author shard his experiences of being raised as a racist although came from religious background

Philip has written on grace and pain , more than any other author . He brings to the fore the grace of God in such powerful ways. Forgiveness is another aspect that he has dealt so beautifully that it touchds your life and makes yiu think.I read this book twice , first at 45 and second time at 60. A must read fir everyone.

I read all and everything by Philip Yancey. He never disappoints. Using this book for a fall Bible study.

The message delivered by Yancey is that our purpose on earth is to follow the example of Jesus and disseminate grace not judgement.

Gives you much to think about. He looks a Grace with whole diifferent angle.
