TOZER. ALSO, AS TOZER HIMSELF HAS SAID, IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT A WHOLE-HEARTED PURSUIT OF THE LORD GOD, YOU'D BEST STAY AWAY FROM HIS WRITNGS. THEY WILL ONLY MAKE YOU LANGUISH FOR SOMETHING YOU CAN NEVER POSSESS.
Rusty Davis5 Stars Out Of 5March 16, 2008Rusty DavisWonderful insight into one of the main problems of conservative churches. Unfortunately, the problem seems to exist today in much the same manner as it did back when Tozer preached these sermons. A great read for church leaders trying to lead and shepherd a congregation.
Susan Yoder5 Stars Out Of 5December 15, 2007Susan YoderOne of A W Tozer's best. Beautifully shows that the desire of God's Father Heart is for a real and loving relationship with His children. He is not looking for perfection in us but a 'Perfect Heart" toward Him.
Charles Gentzsch3 Stars Out Of 5August 14, 2007Charles GentzschAs the noted on the back cover the book was originally preached as sermons. He gives stories but not much academic information for the reasons for the "Whatever happened to worship". He gives some good words of wisdom as to the reasons for lack of worship today; but not as much as I had hoped. A good book for the lay person, but not very useful if one needs academic information for graduate study.
