Publisher's Description
▼▲"Two nationally-acclaimed real estate entrepreneurs share biblical principles to revolutionize your work and family life, and give you the courage to stand up for what is right."
This book follows the story of highly motivated and entrepreneurial twin brothers, David and Jason Benham, from their formative years and ventures into professional baseball to their rise as owners of a multi-million dollar business empire and securing an HGTV reality series. Its a journey where the brothers learned how they must die to their dreams not just once, but twice as they walked away from baseball before being called up to the Big Show and later as their TV series was stripped away from them just before airing when the network succumbed to media pressures surrounding their faith. These experiences only helped them realize that the key to powerful living is found when you die to your dreams and face your fears, and choose to live powerfully through it all. The biblical principles they implemented to guide their work and families are revealed in practical terms to apply to our daily lives and give us courage to stand for what is right. The book will expand on principles such as:
- Show that You are Faithful in Little
- Be a Fountain to Others and not a Drain
- Produce More in Value than You Receive
- Work to Your Ability and not Your Pay
- Breathe Life into All Situations
- Remember that You are Human Beings, not Human Doings
- Hold to a Standard of Disciplined Living
- Dont Swing at Every Pitch
- Find Your Greatest Blessings on the Other Side of Your Greatest Fears

Chris5 Stars Out Of 5Didn't want to stop readingJanuary 6, 2017ChrisQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Whatever the Cost: Facing Your Fears, Dying to Your Dreams, and Living Powerfully. What an amazing book/biography. The Benham brothers shared so much about their lives and faith and the way that all Christians should live out their faith in Christ. Always, always put God first no matter the cost and He will let his plan for your life sky rocket. You will find yourself laughing, crying, maybe even beinging a little angry at times. I am so glad I purchased the Benham brothers book. I was able to relate to so many things that they talked about it was a great reminder to me that I have been doing a lot of complaining lately about some things in my life and I need to stop and just put God first. I am looking forward to getting the next book they just released very soon. I plan on re-reading Whatever the Cost again in the next few months.

These guys are spot on with how to live our Christian lives in this culture we're in. This is one of the best application type books I've read. I know I've fallen short of their examples but totally agree with what they say. We need to get back to this sort of Christian life!! Love this book, hope they write a sequel.

IreneUnited States5 Stars Out Of 5I Highly Recommend This Book!September 3, 2015IreneUnited StatesQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Whatever the Cost: Facing Your Fears, Dying to Your Dreams, and Living Powerfully. This book is written from the viewpoint of the two Benham brothers. The part of their life they are writing about was a short-lived reality television show for one of the cable networks. This book shows how they were feeling at the time and the many lessons they learned while enduring. I found the writing to be more of a friend telling another friend about a difficult time they went through and how the Lord helped them. It flowed well from chapter to chapter and the writing style was easy to understand. It is not two men wining about something or wanting to get their side of the story out. It is about two men wanting to show how the Lord has led in their lives and how we can learn from their hardships. There are many principles that can be taken away from reading this book. In fact there were so many I have two pages full of comments I copied down! I would recommend this book for any Christian going through a difficult work situation right now. I would also recommend it for any Christian needing some encouragement while feeling they are the only ones standing up for something they believe in. This is a 5 out of 5 star book!!!!
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read. -
Janet53Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Surprisingly Good!March 1, 2015Janet53Gender: FemaleValue: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Whatever the Cost: Facing Your Fears, Dying to Your Dreams, and Living Powerfully.I was not sure about this book at first, as it is by 2 brothers (twins), successful in business and professional sports. I thought it would be too macho. I was really surprised! These guys follow Jesus every day, and business and sports are secondary. Dr. Tony Evans calls the brothers "beacons of light in the midst of cultural compromise". The brothers have a list of Christian principles that they live by. These are explained in the book, and a list of them are in Appendix B. These principles will work for either men or women. They helped the brothers be successful in their business together, and in life in general. They see work, as a way to glorify God. They say we should not get our identity all wrapped up in our job or ministry, but find our identity in our relationship with Jesus. Great advice! Great book! A really good read. (I received a free copy of this book from the publisher through BookLook Bloggers, in order to review it. These opinions are honestly my own.)
