People today are hungry for God's sure guidance in their churches. But how do they find it? One of the strongest prophetic voices to the church today, Henry Blackaby, helps Christians grasp God's pattern for strengthening their churches, rather than relying on human ideas and methods that leave God on the periphery. They'll learn how to be sensitive individually and corporately to the effort of the Spirit, exploring the trustworthy principles by which the Lord longs to guide each congregation toward its own distinctive mission.

PeggyAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Blackaby did it again!November 28, 2012PeggyAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I am a graduate of a Southern Baptist Bible Institute that was very orthodox, but a few years ago when I studied "Experiencing God" I was awe-struck! I had never had God's word presented in such a unique and profound fashion. Well, Henry Blackaby did it again in "What the Spirit is Saying to the Churches". Pastors and laymen alike will benefit from reading this book that makes us re-think what being in ministry should really be about! Our will for God to bless; or God's will for us to obey.
Pendleton Christian Church5 Stars Out Of 5April 27, 2009Pendleton Christian ChurchThis book takes you through the journey of one small church as they learned to know and do the will of God. It is a practical example of how simple life can be when we let God truly lead and provide. It also sounds like a great adventure! I can't wait to implement these practices at our church!
William Palmer4 Stars Out Of 5July 4, 2008William PalmerThis is a short story based on Henry Blackaby's experience in Saskatchewan of his church being guided by the Holy Spirit as it makes decisions on progress. It's not a study book to lead the reader into the Bible as many of the other Blackaby books are, but it does give some interesting insights into his and his churches' point of view. Not nearly as strong as "Experiencing God", but an interesting short read.
Jeff Shaferly5 Stars Out Of 5June 24, 2008Jeff ShaferlyIf you like an experiencial book - you will like this one. It is not about what should happen if something is done...It is about what happened when it was done.
Carla Cox5 Stars Out Of 5January 3, 2008Carla CoxThis was absolutely one of the best resource books I have ever purchased. I found it very applicable to where the church is today. It made me hungry for God's word and a greater reliance on Him. Lastly, this book help me to be still before the Lord and truly listen for HIM to speak not rely on myself. I purchased 5 copies to share with friends for Christmas.
