Shaun5 Stars Out Of 5March 12, 2002ShaunI highly recommend this book for anyone who, like me, was puzzled and troubled by what Paul seemed to mean in his passages concerning women. Id asked pastors, pastors' wives and other leaders and none were able to give me an answer as concise, sensitive and liberating as Mr. Bristow's book. What a blessing!
Mary Lou5 Stars Out Of 5June 5, 2001Mary LouFew books treat this topic so well. It's highly readable, very enlightening. It puts a whole new perspective on the issue of women in ministry. Anyone who believes a woman's role should be limited needs to read this. Women's roles have been limited because of misinterpretations of Paul, not because of God's will. This book explains how that happened.
Beth R.5 Stars Out Of 5May 29, 2001Beth R.Every man and woman should read this book. I was stuck thinking that Scripture made it clear that women were not allowed in authority positions in churches. This book, while simply written and easy to understand, takes those Scripture passages and makes it clear that Paul was ADVOCATING women in positions of authority. This book has been liberating and reassuring. I have a high view of Scripture, and feel relieved to know what Scripture REALLY says. Thanks to this wonderful scholar and author!
