Product Description

In a plain straightforward manner, senior minister Richard Phillips explains the basis for the observance of the Lord's Supper. He begins with the biblical institution as a sacrament, its relationship to the Jewish Passover, its purpose as a sign to God's People, and its purpose as a Covenant Seal. He then explains the theological issues, including the presence of Christ in the sacrament, the efficacy of the sacrament, and some words about pastoral considerations.

About the Basics of the Faith series:
The booklets in this series introduce readers to basic Reformed doctrine and practice. On issues of church government and practice they reflect that framework--otherwise they are suitable for all churches for instruction in basic biblical doctrine.
