This book's rhyming makes it fun to read with kids. it is simple yet profound, and the verses throughout are so powerful yet simple for kids to understand. Can't wait until V.C. comes out with her next books!

In "What is Prayer," children see that they have a friend who cares about all that's near and dear to a child's heart and they can respond. Valerie Carpenter uses fresh language for classic themes. The rhyme scheme is brilliant and never seems contrived to fit meter over matter. I highly recommend this!
