William HerttterNormal, ILAge: Over 65Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5December 21, 2012William HerttterNormal, ILAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is wonderful. It was so refreshing to read chapters by so many writers all in one book. In chapter 16, titled "God Is More" one of the contributors, Chris Hodges writes: "I can pretty much guarantee you that whenever you obey God when he asks you to step out of your comfort zone, there will always be someone trying to rein you back to their reality. Even our well-meaning Christian friends might try to talk you out of whatever it is God is calling you to do."
"If we're going to worry about what others think, we'll simply never get more of God."
Get the book and discover what we are missing if we fail to make practical application of God's word in our lives.

davedallas, txAge: 55-65Gender: male2 Stars Out Of 5some spots of weak theologyNovember 26, 2012davedallas, txAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 2Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2while many of the individual chapters offer interesting illustrations, too many of them are weak in their theology and present man as God's top interest rather than having a solid understanding that God's chief interest is in His own glory not ours.....further, man is presented as flawed but not fatally hopeless without God....without God we are dead and hopeless not just in trouble
as i said, interesting but not great theologically
