Author Bio

Sean Michael Lucas (PhD, Westminster Theological Seminary) is senior pastor of Independent Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Memphis, Tennessee. He has taught at Covenant Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary and authored several books of church history.

Editorial Reviews

Presbyterian[s] increasingly have little presbyterian background. Lucas provides a terrific resource to get everyone up to speed. . . . Highly readable.
A brief, popular introduction to Presbyterianism [for] evangelicals interested in this part of the Christian family . . . Readable, sympathetic, and circumspect.
For conservative Presbyterians, Lucas provides a most helpful, inspiring account of both the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ of our church identity.
