GREAT bible for the price point. I like the print size and, though the pages are thin, they are not as thin as the pages in my "other" more expensive bible, which tear easily. This is a definite keeper!
First off, you have to love the text block of the bible. It is exactly the same text block used in the leather and imitation leather-like NKJV bibles. Smyth sewn (look for the threads every inch or so in the center partition of the pages), easy to read large text, and smaller size book. These are the great features of this bible.
Now for the not so great ones. No presentation page or maps. Worse yet is the "imitation leather" cover. The cover isn't imitation leather, it is cardboard. It is fine for a outreach bible, but not really for a gift - unless you are giving it to a homeless person or someone in prison/jail. Maybe it would be deluxe for some people in a third world country!
Bottom line, this is a fine bible (for the price). We americans are spoiled with over 200 translations to pick from with a variety of bindings. You can use a bible like this for street preaching, giving to people that do not have a bible, maybe keep an extra or two around when you travel for friends that may have forgotten their bible.
If you put this bible in an inexpensive bible cover, nobody would know that this was an $8 bible instead of a $28 bible. This is a more "deluxe" bible than the normal soft cover bibles that you use for outreach.
