The results of their study were very revealing. It changes the way we think about ministry and what is important to people going to church.

This study helps us see clearly where churches are succeeding and where they are failing. The book confirmed some of my worst fears, while offering hope for the future. While I do question some of wording used in the surveys, I do not question the validity of the findings. A must read for those in, or going into, ministry.

OK, maybe I have a few issues with definitions, but here is something that is relevant and helpful to my situation in an old, established, mainline church. If your passion is church growth and/or financial prosperity, forget this one. But if all that keeps you in the job as pastor is a desire to see people formed in the image and character of Jesus then fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride.
