Publisher's Description

Williamson’s guide to the Confession has been an invaluable resource used in churches and colleges throughout the world.

Author Bio

G. I. Williamson (BD, Pittsburgh-Xenia Theological Seminary) has served congregations of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, the Reformed Churches of New Zealand, and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. He is author of study guides to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter Catechism, as well as editor of Ordained Servant, a journal for elders and deacons.

Editorial Reviews

A trustworthy guide and excellent resource for all who wish to understand the Westminster Confession of Faith. Highly recommended for both personal and group study.
Useful, practical, succinct, and sound . . . still the best and safest work of its kind available. It servesso many purposes: church classes, home schooling, private study, family worship. The explanation of each chapter clearly communicates the gist of Reformed doctrine in a practical way, probing sufficiently deep to impart truths both old and new without becoming verbose. The appended questions will stimulate much thought and great discussion.
This study guide has already proven its value. It will continue to serve the church as an excellent instructional tool, well suited to a broad variety of groups and age levels.
If this biblical, Reformed faith is to be a living faith in our day, it requires an intimate acquaintance with the kind of biblical wisdom contained in this great confession. Williamson’s study is an excellent help to that end.

This is the most helpful study guide I've yet to see on the Westminster Larger Catechism. Anyone wishing to understand the Reformed faith as practiced from the 1500's to the cultural accomadationists of the 19th-21st century, this will lead you to the truths of out fathers. Indescribably great.
