Using the powerful story of the Samaritan woman at the well found in the gospel of John, The Well is an inspiring look at the real reason that even the most charmed of lives are empty when they lack the one element that makes us whole.
Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Mark Hall uses gripping, often personal stories--his lifelong struggle with dyslexia, his success in the music industry, the adoption of his Chinese daughter--to illustrate how the "dry holes" of accomplishments, possessions, relationships, and many of the other goals we work toward can never fully satisfy us. According to Hall, their rewards are temporary and often divert us from God's offers of abundant, refreshing, sustaining life. Conversational in tone, sometimes humorous, always compelling, The Well will challenge you, make you think, and leave you thirsting for a dip into the one true well.

Why are so many so close to the Well and still so thirsty? Mark Hall takes the powerful story of the Woman at the Well and her encounter with Jesus to help readers understand that the wells we go to for life and sustenance, the wells of success, talent, control, favor, religion, etc., are keeping us from relying on Jesus and his abundant life, and we will never be truly satisfied until we realize that and go to Him for our needs.
