Kellie Easterly5 Stars Out Of 5September 5, 2007Kellie EasterlyI love this book!!! It is very large and easy to read. Very good quality for the price. I love the fact that there are Bible references under many definitions. This book will be in our homeschool library for many, many, many years.

Doug Clark5 Stars Out Of 5August 28, 2007Doug ClarkBeautifully awesome!!! The Holy Spirit is not hindered in the definitions of this dictionary. It is perfect for any serious Bible student or child of God, no matter what age. I also think it would help tremendously if the public school systems in this country would get rid of all of the other "dictionaries" and teach straight from this one, but that is whole new can of worms in itself. A must in every Christian home.

Student1 Stars Out Of 5August 17, 2007StudentThis dictionary may be of some historical interest, and I am sympathetic to other reviewers comments about the Christian nature of Webster’s original text. However, as is the case with most reprints (including Samuel Johnson's “A Dictionary of the English Language”), it is not the best choice for general academic study. Furthermore, there are many free online versions of Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. Such resources are a great way to compare current word use with that of days past. Those looking for a good general dictionary for academic study, **particularly older students who are entering college or preparing to do so**, are better off with the current edition of Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (available on this site). Those willing to spend a bit more money should consider the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, which includes both current and historical definitions. These definitions are illustrated by quotes, including a good number from the Bible. (The SOED is also available on this site.)

Fred Steck5 Stars Out Of 5February 14, 2007Fred SteckThis book rates well above a 5 star rating. Many of the word definitions are cross-referenced to Holy Scripture making Bible Study so much more educational. I was also extremely happy with the over-all quality of this dictionary.
