This dictionary is a "must have" tool for any student of the King James Bible. No "watered-down" definitions as we find in our deteriorating English (American) today. It's nice to see what could be "original," precise, and Bible-based definitions along with biblical references to back them up.

Webster's l828 Dictionary is the best study toolfor understanding the Bible. The English language has changed, and to understand thetruth of the Scriptures, we need to understandthe meaning of the words used when the KJV 1611was written.

It is excellent mainly because it is written by a man with a fundamental Christian worldview, and those views are expressed through his definitions of words. The only thing lacking is the pronunciation of words. That would be my primary complaint.

The ability to research words from another century has enlightened the study of the Word. My wife and I enjoy the ability to look up words and see context relating straight to the Bible. If you are serious about digging deeper and learning more about what the Bible has to say, then I highly recommend adding this book to your library.

I purchased the Noah Webster's 1828 American Dictionary for my husband. He absolutely loves it. He uses it for reference during his daily personal bible study time. The whole family is learning a new word and it's meaning practically everyday thanks to my husband's enthusiasm over this Dictionary. It's a fairly large book with large easy to read text. According to my husband very easy to use. Plus, he loved the introduction touching on Noah Webster's views and history of the dictionary. With it's hard back cover, it looks very nice sitting on the desk or book shelf, too.
