My girls are very close in age, so when I was ready to start our oldest in kindergarten, I wanted something that would be appropriate for more than one age level. I also wanted a curriculum that would be biblically based and fun.
I love the Weaver Interlock program because it uses the beginning chapters of Genesis to build an educational foundation for preschool and kindergarten. We learned about how perfect and intentional God's creation of the world was through music, crafts, and a variety of activities. Our children gained knowledge about the world around them, while growing in their love of learning.
This program utilizes a 3-day teaching schedule, leaving two days a week for field trips, shopping, doctors appointments, play dates, etc. It offers short interactive lessons that teach social studies, science, language arts, math, music, art, and more. Kids learn through cross-curricular hands-on activities centered on a common theme. For example, one day they might read Genesis 1:11-13; sing "He Plants Me Like a Seed"; pull weeds in the garden; and play the language arts game "Plant Concentration."
We supplemented the program with 123 Read! for phonics, which created a solid curriculum for preschool and kindergarten. It was simple enough so that our 3-year-old could participate, but academically thorough enough so we didn't feel like we were holding back our kindergarten-age daughter.
When combined with a comprehensive phonics program, this resource makes the perfect biblically based preschool/kindergarten curriculum for busy families or those looking for a more relaxed but complete early education program. Includes music CD. 466 pages, 3-ring binder. -- Cherrié

Tori845 Stars Out Of 5March 2, 2012Tori84I've reviewed the curriculum and am extremely excited to start it with my son. It is very well written and I am sure my son will love learning through the Weaver curriculum. Most importantly, the curriculum thoroughly integrates Biblical principles along with standard topics. Very well done!

Covers all the basics in math, language arts, phonics, science and history; using the Bible as its foundation. The songs and actions that go with them are fun and informative. It only takes 3 days per week, allowing extra time for baking, field trips, etc.
Jennifer5 Stars Out Of 5May 8, 2010JenniferWe have just started working with this with our 4 year old daughter (kindergarten level) and almost 3 year old son who really needed some mental challenging. So far we have all loved it. I love the variety of activities and the way it is all centered on Scripture, and the way it makes it easy to explain trickier concepts like the Trinity. The kids love all the arts and crafts suggested in each page, and the huge variety of hands on activities. They remember a lot from the hands on things! It does require some preparation, mostly in material gathering for each lesson, but I'm trying to get organized enough to do a week at a time instead of just the night before and that will help a great deal. The only thing that so far I don't like is that it still comes with an audiocassette - I don't even have a way to play it anymore, and being very unmusical myself, it would be nice to have a CD that I could turn on to help teach the kids the songs.
Eileen Harris5 Stars Out Of 5January 29, 2010Eileen HarrisAbsolutely love this program. I have tried other programs and nothing felt like I was totally in charge of what was taught and I always felt like I had to come up with my own schedule to make things work. This program is exactly what it says, a biblical program from which all "subjects" are taught to a preschooler. I cannot wait to get into Volume 1 when we are done with preschool. I highly recommend this product to those who want to teach their children how to learn and want to use the bible to do it.
