"How would you feel if an angel visited you?"

"Do you know who your great-great-grandfather was? "

" How many names can a person be called?"

"How do you think God blesses people? What are some ways you can bless someone?"

Not only is this a beautiful book from a visual perspective, it's an intentionally beautiful book from a spiritual perspective. Filled with simple, direct, and memorable devotional selections, each section delivers daily pages of thoughts, questions, activities and memory makers in a journal like fashion; making it easy for families to use this lovely tome for many Christmases to come.

I would highly recommend this book to all families trying to point their children to Christ more so than santa during the Christmas season. This book brought me into the world of the true Advent! I had only ever thought of Advent as those cheap calendar treats you open first thing in the morning and then forget about until bed time. I had no idea there was such a lovely tradition of lighting a candle each week in remembrance of the importance of each thing-Hope, Faith, Joy, Peace, + Christ. A beautiful way to focus on Christ and His birth and His long awaited second coming! I love that we can use the book year after year to record thoughts and feelings as the children grow.

This is a beautiful hard cover book. The way it is written, it may be used over and over again. The art work is simple but captivating. Interaction and dialogue are encouraged by the way it is layed out. There is also room for notes or journaling. It is set up by the week. May be simplified or responded to in depth. I bought several to share with people I knew had opportunities to influence children in their homes and in church settings.

    Beautiful Family Advent Devotional

This is a well-written family devotional with good conversation questions and space to document our answers. I love the colors in the artwork. My boys are seven and five. We started reading it this year and got about halfway through. My seven-year-old was engaged. My five-year-old wasn't as much. We'll continue through it next year. I can see us going through it several times in the future as the boys age and their perspectives change. It's worth re-reading!
