An exhilarating story of a young Navy SEAL whose relentless faith transformed his life and inspired everyone who knew his courageous story.
In A Warriors Faith, Ryan Jobs close friend, Robert Vera, recounts how the highly decorated Navy SEALs unstoppable sense of humor, positive attitude, and fierce determination helped him survive after being shot in the face by an enemy sniper on a roof in Ramadi, Iraq.
Though blinded, the irrepressible Job recovered from his wounds and began facing a new set of obstacles with his characteristic humor and resolve. He married the girl of his dreams, hunted elk, climbed Mt. Rainier, graduated college with honors, influenced countless people around him, and was looking forward to being a fatherbefore his life was tragically cut short by a hospital medical error.
Veras raw, often funny, and heartfelt account of his friends life offers readers a way to find hope in the middle of lifes raging storms.

Tell me that it documents the life of a Navy SEAL, and youve found yourself a new reader. I have always been fascinated by and drawn to true stories of US soldiers, especially Navy SEALs. Most of the films I own are based on true stories of the brave men and women who risk their lives daily for our safety. I honor their sacrifice. Our history is composed of these courageous individuals, each with their own unique stories to tell. I am so intrigued by the stories of soldiers that Ive said to myself many times that I wish I could go back to WWII, or Vietnam, or the more recent wars of the 21st century, and interview every single soldierevery man and woman involvedso that I can get each and every persons own story, told from their own perspective.
Every soldier whose ever fought for our freedom is worthy of recognition. A Warriors Faith, the story of Navy SEAL Ryan Job written by one of his closest of friends, is most certainly no exception.
Before I read A Warriors Faith, I never heard the story of Ryan Job, thus I began reading with a curiosity and interest unique to a first-read experience. I was very intrigued as Robert described how exceptionally well Ryan survived Navy SEAL training, also called BUD/S. Before reading, I had also read Seal Of God by former Navy SEAL Chad Williams (Another great read, by the way), so I knew from the start what the training consisted of. It was great to read of the experience of another SEAL having to bear the tortures of Hell Week and resisting the urge to quit.
Ryans experiences after obtaining the Navy SEAL trident kept me reading voraciously. Id never heard of the vicious injury that Ryan sustained due to an enemy sniper. Thus, my head shook continuously in concern and fear as I read of the event. And to read of the other SEALs courage during the tragedy reminded me that SEALs are never alone. They are a brotherhood, knit so closely together that they are truly inseparable.
The entire book continued to interest me, right to the very end of the story. A Warriors Faith is, indeed, a great read. Veras recounting of Ryans life, as well as his own personal experiences with him, will have you laughing, then crying, then smiling. Some things will make you very angry (such as the care Ryan received at a certain hospital after reconstructive surgery), some things will make you sad. A Warriors Faith is an emotional ride that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I honor the service of our brave men in uniform, including Ryan Job.
The only critique I would offer A Warriors Faith is that the gospel was very shallow and superficial. It was reduced down to basically nothing more than a personal relationship with a loving God. This is, of course, true in certain ways, but it is certainly not the Gospel message. This is the Gospel: Each and every one of us has sinned against God. We are rebels, lying, stealing, lusting, etc. We deserve justice, and that is what we will earn. Our justice will be punishment in hell forever unless, of course, we repent of our sins and trust in JesusGod in the fleshwho bore our punishment on the cross so that we could be forgiven and set free!
Overall, A Warriors Faith receives 4 out of 5 stars from me! Thank you, Ryan Job, for your service! My gratitude also goes out to all other persons in our military! God bless you!

A WARRIORS FAITH
Navy Seal Ryan Job, a life changed fire fighter, and the belief that transformed his life. Ryan Job didn't just live his faith, he lived it ruthlessly!!!!!!!!!
The book cover grabbed my heart and I knew I had to read this book. I love my country but I admire our Navy Seals and the rest of our Military, that give every day their lives, time, and knowledge that they have been trained to do to protect our country and our lives with their own. Their families also deserve around of honor from all of us for sharing their husbands, wives, daughters, and sons so on to protect us, they give up a lot too. What they give up is hard for someone to understand that has never been through it, I have in more then one way. Let me say "God be with you". We are so blessed to have these brave men to protect our country and to keep us from harms way. Thank-You.
This book shows the tolerance the Navy Seals have. They went under extreme training and only the best of the best become our "ELITE MEN."
Ryan Job story also shows that God gave him the strength and endurance to handle what God sent him to be and do for our country. God is faithful all the time, most of our Navy Seals are faithful to their country and the brotherhood.
Ryan Job proved that even after he was so badly injured in combat that he still took care of his fellow men. This is only one story of one of our brave Navy Seals.
I recommend this book very highly. I is wonderful and you really see what these men go through and how they are treated. Their own country treat them badly and the news papers portrays them as killers REALLY how can they honestly do that?? Go live in a different country then I love my Military!!!!!!!!!!
I received this book free from Booklookbloggers for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else's.
