Winner of the 2002 Christianity Today Book Award! Youre One Step Away from the Adventure of Your Life. Deep within you lies the same faith and longing that sent Peter walking across the wind-swept Sea of Galilee toward Jesus. In what ways is the Lord telling you, as he did Peter, "Come"? John Ortberg invites you to consider the incredible potential that awaits you outside your comfort zone. Out on the risky waters of faith, Jesus is waiting to meet you in ways that will change you forever, deepening your character and your trust in God. The experience is terrifying. Its thrilling beyond belief. Its everything youd expect of someone worthy to be called Lord. The choice is yours to know him as only a water-walker can, aligning yourself with Gods purpose for your life in the process. Theres just one requirement: If You Want to Walk on Water, Youve Got to Get Out of the Boat.

JPE5 Stars Out Of 5Great readJuly 24, 2015JPEQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was excellent and very easy to read. Using personal examples and biblical accounts, John Ortberg gives practical suggestions for those who feel they are "stuck in a rut" but feel reluctant or uncertain how to take that next step. While the book stands alone, the study guide that accompanies it was very helpful and provided additional insight.
JancieLee5 Stars Out Of 5Loving itApril 29, 2015JancieLeeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the third Bible study my congregation has done over the past several months, and by far their favorite. They are thoroughly enjoying the combination of John Ortberg's humor, the reading, DVD, and Bible study questions. I would highly recommend this curriculum for Bible study or small groups.
JHappy5 Stars Out Of 5If You Want To Walk On Water You've Got To Get Out Of The BOATJanuary 31, 2015JHappyThis book is awesome. There are so many things in life that holds us back from expressing our faith. This book provided helpful guidance to strengthen my faith. Time to get out of the many boats that we think provide "security".
