Maple Mocha, coffee concentrate for a crowd, sausage gravy, and pumpkin chip muffins are just a few of the recipes in this new addition to the Wanda E. Brunstetter and Amish Friends brand of cookbooks.

This one's key focus is basic recipes that use we often have in plenty, especially if we garden, can, or keep a fully stocked pantry. Too often Americans waste food or let a busy day's schedule dictate take out or fast food, when really there is a fast, more nutritious and more tasty alternative right in our own kitchen. Maybe some recipes will remind you of grandma's kitchen when you were a child, but no recipe was ever written down. Directions are clear and many colored photographs are scattered throughout the book. Pages are tinted off-white, giving the book the feel of a well-worn treasure, which the book will surely become. For those on your gift list who love baking and cooking, this will be well received. Net Galley supplied me with an e-copy, but all comments are my own.

Are you struggling to feed your family as the cost of food continues to increase? This new cookbook from Wanda E. Brunstetter is just what you need! The Amish Friends No Waste Cookbook is a collection of recipes from Amish and Mennonite women who know the importance of using leftovers so that there's 'no waste'. There are over 270 recipes for main dishes, desserts, snacks, and sides. I also enjoyed the two additional sections, Advice for Hard Times and Household Advice & Tips. There are even several DIY recipes for home products! Have you ever tried making your own laundry soap or shampoo?

Amish Friends No Waste Cookbook is a great cookbook to add to your own collection and it's also a perfect choice for gift-giving!

I received a complimentary copy from the author and Barbour Publishing. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

With food costs on the rise, Wanda Brunstetter's newest cookbook, Amish Friends No Waste Cookbook, is the perfect choice for recipes that help stretch a budget. This cookbook is filled with a large variety of recipes that appeal to all tastes and preferences. The spiral bound book is made to lay flat so no losing your page while in the middle of a recipe. The book contains lovely and tasty looking full color photos of foods from recipes and includes a wide variety of non-food recipes as well such as play dough and homemade laundry soap and fabric softener. Bonuses include tips and tricks for ways to use things normally tossed in the garbage like eggshells, as well as others. This wonderful cookbook will definitely help the reader make the most of their food budget. I can't wait to try recipe after recipe! I was gifted a copy of this cookbook from the author and publisher but was not required to write a review. This review is based on my honest opinion about this book.

This will be a great Christmas gift. Wanda Brunstetter has simple ideas to save money while cooking. I tried the Hamburger casserole and liked it. I even saw recipes for deodorant and shampoo! I enjoyed looking through this cookbook and getting future ideas to try with my family.
